A simple poke cake with the flavors of a favorite childhood treat- orange creamsicle.

  • 1 Box Duncan Hines White Cake Mix
  • 1 Box Jello Vanilla Pudding Mix
  • Zest from ½ Orange
  • 1 Tin Ace of Cakes White Buttercream Frosting
  • Orange Sprinkles (optional)
  • Candy Orange Slices (optional)
  1. Mix Duncan Hines White Cake Mix according to instructions on box.

  3. Spread cake mix evenly over 13x9 inch pan and bake according to box instructions.

  5. When cake is done, let cool for 20 minutes.
  6. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes in cake about one inch apart. covering the whole cake.
  7. Mix Jello pudding mix with two cups of whole milk.

  9. The pour the pudding mixture into the holes on the cake.

  11. Put in refrigerator to set for at least two hours.
  12. After the two hours when cake is ready to frost, zest half of one orange.

  14. Mix orange zest with tub of White Buttercream Frosting stirring to blend thoroughly.

  16. Frost cake evenly with frosting and top with sprinkles or orange candies as desired.
  17. Store in refrigerator.
